Assessment for Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties:

Suitable for pre-school and school age children/ young persons up to 16 years of age with all speech, language and/or communication needs excluding stammering.

Standard Assessment: £150 + travel.

Includes up to an hour face to face appointment with you and your child and a summary report.
The assessment will be tailored to your child’s age and needs and may include a mixture of play, observation and informal or formal speech and language assessments.
This could be a one off assessment or you may wish to book in for intervention sessions based on the needs identified in the assessment.

Detailed Assessment and Report: price on request.

This may be a more suitable option in some cases, especially for families who are looking to include speech and language needs in an Education Health and Care Plan application.
 Includes face to face assessment of an hour or more; liaison with school or nursery and a detailed report and recommendations.
This is priced individually on request and is based on £80 an hour with a minimum of 3 hours needed to complete the assessment and write the report.

Intervention/Therapy.

Intervention/ Therapy: £80 per session + travel.

Suitable for all age groups.

Includes 45-60 minutes of face to face intervention with you and your child.
Will take place at your home or at your child’s school or nursery.
Aims will be based on the needs identified in the assessment.

Intervention/ Therapy for stammering/stuttering: £80 per session + travel.

Suitable for all age groups.

Includes 45-60 minutes of face to face intervention with you and your child.
Intervention may also include sessions for you as parents/carers without your child.
Will take place at your home or at your child’s school or nursery.
Aims will be based on the needs identified in the assessment.

Stammering Information and Support session: £120 + travel.

Suitable for children aged 6 years or under.

This is a dynamic stand-alone session of up to 90 minutes which will take place at your home or online.
The session is for you as parents and the therapist.  Your child will not be present.
The session allows you to discuss your child’s stammer with the therapist. The therapist will provide you with information about stammering ; support you to identify what you are already doing that’s helping; listen  to any concerns, problem-solve with you and create a clear plan for you to continue to support your child with stammering and becoming a confident communicator

In some cases, a detailed, specialist assessment of your child’s stammering with appropriate therapy recommendations may be appropriate at a later stage, but not all young children will need this.

Stammering Information and Support follow up session: £40 + travel.
 

Suitable for children aged 6 years or under.

Follow up appointments for parents/ carers to continue to support you in the therapy strategies for your child.
30 minute sessions at your home, on line or on the phone.
 

A note on services provided.

Packages can be tailored to suit your needs as a family, however it is recommended that your child begins with a weekly therapy slot in order to help them to make progress.

We charge £80 an hour for other services such as attending a professionals/ review meeting, providing additional reports, preparing additional materials to be used outside of the therapy sessions.

We do not provide a service to attend tribunals e.g. to contest the content of an Education Health Care Plan.
